That fact has Congress debating the lack of enforcement of Do-Not-Call laws. Congress may allow or even require that Tele-Communication vendor begin to use call screening software on their networks.

My family has been getting similar scam calls. In fact just minutes ago I received a call from “Cell Phone CA” 1-650-280-1457 from MicroSoft technical support saying that my Windows computers send him a message requesting a serious problems. I know this scam in which they eventually say then need your userID and password to fix a problem.

My wife’s Mother was scammed last week but a call from “PCH” (Publishers Clearing House) that she has won $50K. We had to interceed is an improper cell phone exchange that lasted 3 days!

My point is that I agree with Kirk’s alerts and the we should do what we can to report these encounters our our representatives in goverment that we have a serious Phone SCAM problem directed at our citizens.
